This Netflix thriller stars Ginevra Francesconi as Sofia, the 17-year-old daughter of former mafia enforcer Santo (Alessandro Gassmann). When her mother and uncle are brutally murdered, Santo vows to take his family to Milan and exact revenge.
A fast-paced, hard-hitting, and gruesome crime thriller. Its meat and potatoes approach to violence echoes that of Liam Neeson’s work in Ugly Nasty People.
The Family
Amazon Prime has a knack for finding original series that are off-beat and off-color but that still have some quality. They’ve taken a somewhat winding path when it comes to determining which shows to greenlight, but they’ve managed to pull out a few gems along the way.
One of the best things about Amazon Prime is that it’s able to stream many of their shows without any subscription fees, and there’s a whole library to choose from. There are also plenty of great movies that are available to watch on Prime, whether you’re looking for a quick binge or something a bit more in-depth.
Among these are several family dramas that will keep your kids entertained for hours, from the classic family of good-hearted old folks Franklin and Irene York (J.K. Simmons and Sissy Spacek) to the hilarious holiday comedy Amanda and the Talking Horses. If you’re looking for a more mature movie to watch with your children, there’s the upcoming adaptation of Good Omens, which stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant as two unlikely friends who work together to stop a world-ending catastrophe.
The Family is a little cheesy and predictable at times but it’s still a fun way to pass the time with your family, especially with your kids. This is one of the first original series that Amazon made for kids and it’s rated PG for some rude humor and action.
This animated hit from Charles Addams is a lot of fun and the voice work by Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron and Nick Kroll is excellent. It’s also a great way to get your kids excited about Christmas.
Another good choice is Hanna, an international thriller that features bone-crunching, adrenaline-infused action scenes and spy intrigue that will have you on the edge of your seat. Esme Creed-Miles stars as the titular teen assassin, and her performance is well worth watching for.
This Italian crime thriller has some similarities to the 2020 film The Beast, where a distraught veteran goes on a one-man hunt against drug-dealing mafia gangs who kidnapped his daughter. Alessandro Gassmann delivers a performance that generates a lot of gravity in Santo/Franze, the former ‘Ndrangheta hitman who’s determined to protect his young daughter Sofia (Clara De Angelis).
Columbiana
From Luc Besson, writer/producer of The Fifth Element and Leon: The Professional comes Colombiana. Zoe Saldana stars as the title character, a woman who witnesses her parents’ murder when she was a child and grows up to be a slick ninja assassin. This heist movie is a must see for fans of crime flicks and anyone who appreciates a good ol’ fashioned thrill.
A plethora of awards have been thrown its way but for me, it’s the cinematic experience that really stands out. Fortunately, there are many ways to watch it. You can rent or buy it on Amazon Video, Vudu, Google Play, iTunes and YouTube. Alternatively, you can try your hand at streaming it on Starz, NBC, Hulu, Netflix and HBO Go. The best part is, you don’t have to leave your home. Just sign up for a free trial of any of these services to start watching it. Then, you’ll be able to binge-watch it over and over again for as long as you want! You won’t regret it. Thanks to these services, you’ll be able to get the most out of your cinema experience without breaking the bank!
The Beast
If you love horror, Amazon Prime has a lot to offer. There are a number of cult classics, as well as modern fright films that you can check out on the platform. The list of titles available on Prime is updated weekly with new releases so you can always find a new movie to watch.
If you’re a fan of Clive Barker, then you should definitely check out this tense horror film that focuses on a group of BDSM aficionados who are summoned by a magic box to hurt their victims. It’s a bloody masterpiece that’s not only groundbreaking for its time, but also impressive for its ability to explore the darkest corners of humanity.
The cast of this film was incredibly talented, and the fact that they all worked together on a budget of $1 million is pretty amazing. Despite that, they managed to create some of the most impressive monsters you’ll ever see.
This is a must-watch for fans of Clive Barker’s work, and it’s also an excellent thriller in its own right. It’s got a great twist at the end that makes it a must-see for anyone who likes a good scare.
It’s a shame that this film hasn’t gotten more exposure, but it’s still a worthwhile title to watch. It’s got a killer cast, and it has some of the most tense moments you’ll find on Prime.
In the midst of the action, there are some really funny moments in this film, but the screenplay is extremely illogical. This film could have been better if Nelson had reworked the script to make it more realistic.
There’s also some cheesy parts of the film that aren’t needed, and the action scenes are too long. It’s all too easy to lose track of where the movie is going, and it’s hard to believe that the actors were able to keep it that serious for so long.
It’s a great movie to watch when you want to get away from the world for a bit. This is one of the best movies that is available on Prime, and it’s a must-watch for anyone who enjoys horror films.
My Name Is Vendetta
When a former mafia hitman and his daughter witness the murder of their family, they flee to Milan in order to plot their revenge. Directed by Cosimo Gomez, this action thriller is set in Italy and stars Alessandro Gassmann, Remo Girone, and Ginevra Francesconi.
Santo (Gassmann) lives in the countryside with his wife Ingrid (Francesconi) and their feisty teenage daughter Sofia. They enjoy off-road driving lessons, hockey games, and other fun activities. But when she disobeys her father’s orders and secretly photographs him, it sets off a chain of events that will change their lives forever.
The film starts out with a quick introduction to the main characters, which is fine, as this movie is largely centered on them. However, things get a little more complicated later on in the movie when it turns out that Santo’s past as a Mafia enforcer is coming back to haunt him.
In any case, this makes the whole premise of this film very exciting and it’s definitely something to watch for action fans. If you are looking for a new movie on Amazon Prime, you should check this out.
My Name Is Vendetta is an Italian thriller that follows a former Mafia hitman and his feisty teenage daughter on their quest for revenge after old enemies kill their family. It’s a mix of Taken and The Professional that is worth watching if you’re in the mood for some violent action.
Alessandro Gassmann is excellent as the lead character Santo. He brings a lot of gravity to his role and often reminds me of Benicio del Toro.
But the real star of this movie is Ginevra Francesconi, who is impressive as Sofia. She brings an interesting mix of anger and sadness to her character and it’s a great performance.
Another thing to note about this movie is that it’s not the type of action you want to see if you’re under 18. The violence is extremely brutal and it doesn’t have a ton of style in it. This may be a good movie to watch for those who like to see brutal violence on screen but it isn’t something I would recommend for anyone else.
The theme of the Italian action-thriller “My Name Is Vendetta” is “Kill or be killed.” This Cosimo Gomez film stars Ginevra Francesconi, Remo Girone, and Alessandro Gassmann. It describes the journey taken by father and daughter Santo and Sofia in order to get revenge.
Santo and Sofia witness the murder of their family by mafia men. They therefore prepare to respond to them. The movie features blood, brutality, a family legacy, and an ultimate ambition for success. The film is guaranteed to confound and excite audiences with its fast-paced plot and spectacular action scenes.
How to see the movie “Vendetta,” I’m Vendetta. Don’t worry if you don’t know how “My Name Is Vendetta” ends.

What Happened in This Movie’s Last Scene?
Santo’s talent as a killer and his history as a hitman come into play when he embarks on his search for retribution. Before acting, he thinks and plans everything he does. He has slain every man who stands in his way covertly while concealing money and weapons.
To use Michele against Angelo, Santo and Sofia plan to kidnap her. He realizes as he goes, though, that it won’t work. He devises a new strategy and pursues Angelo by himself. Santo bravely repels all of the armed men and guards at Don Angelo’s home. He approaches Angelo by himself and easily chokes him to death.
Santo gets even with Angelo through poetry, which makes Angelo gasp for oxygen. He believes that by putting a stop to their family conflict, the subsequent generation will be able to coexist peacefully. Santo calls Sofia to let her know their plan didn’t go as planned. That actually functions, but it need one change.
He always intended to get even with Sofia before leaving her alone. The powerful father protects his daughter from the harm that his past actions may have caused. Santo surrenders to the police, who then shoot him as soon as they catch sight of him. To protect his daughter from this rivalry, he commits suicide.
In actuality, Sofia is left alone and without assistance as a result of his passing. To witness such a courageous and powerful man die in such a barbaric manner breaks my heart. But this is the price he must pay for his previous transgressions.
After he married Ingrid, he was still innocent, but the police were unaware of this. As his family passed away, he resumed a life of crime and violence. Even yet, he passed away a hero because he had successfully exacted his retribution.
Why Was Michele Murdered in This Movie by Sofia?
Michele would have found Sofia and killed her if Sofia hadn’t killed Michele. She maintains her family name and her father’s name by remaining a Franzé. After Sofia kills someone for the first time, she exits the office with pride. She appears to like using violence and retaliation against others.
