In July 2021, Nintendo announced the release of the new Switch OLED model, which features a larger OLED screen, improved audio quality, and a built-in LAN port. The new console was released on October 8, 2021, and fans were excited to get their hands on it. The new Switch OLED model also came with new accessories, and during a Zelda gameplay demonstration, Nintendo showcased some of these accessories.
One of the new accessories that Nintendo unveiled during the Zelda gameplay demonstration was the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo. This amiibo is a two-in-one figurine that features both Zelda and her Loftwing companion from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. The amiibo can be used to unlock additional content in the game, including fast travel, as well as exclusive items and outfits for Link.
Another accessory that was showcased during the demonstration was the new Switch Pro Controller. This controller features a more traditional layout, with a D-pad on the left side and four face buttons on the right. The controller also features a built-in rechargeable battery and motion controls. The Pro Controller can be used with the new Switch OLED model, as well as the original Switch and the Switch Lite.
Nintendo also showed off new Joy-Con controllers during the demonstration. These Joy-Con controllers feature a new color scheme, with blue and yellow on one controller and red and white on the other. The controllers also feature a new matte finish, which provides a more comfortable grip. The new Joy-Con controllers can be used with any Switch model.
These were accurate. A new Switch OLED model with a Zelda motif was introduced at the conclusion of a gameplay presentation for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The new design includes white and gold-accented white docking station, as well as golden joycons with white and gold accents. Two weeks before the premiere of the eagerly awaited game, on April 28, 2023, the System will go live.
During the conclusion of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay demonstration, a new Switch OLED with a Zelda motif and further information were presented.
While the gameplay teaser has provided the debut date, there is no official word on the Nintendo Switch OLED model’s price or the timing of pre-orders. The updated Switch model will be sold separately from the game, which debuts on May 12, as seen in the gameplay trailer.
After the new Switch model, two additional The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-themed Switch accessories, a Pro Controller and a Carrying Case, were also on exhibit. These accessories have a black, white, and gold color combination with gold accents. Although we believe they are just as elegant, there is no green to be seen. These add-ons will debut on May 12, the same day as the game.
Again, neither the pricing nor pre-orders have received official confirmation. On the Nintendo store’s Hardware page, nevertheless, purchasing pages have been made.
Nintendo showed off 10 minutes of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay in addition to the new Switch OLED Model and accessories. There was a lot of emphasis placed on Link’s newly acquired ability to interact with the world, fuse weapons, climb through ceilings to the summits of mountains, and build unusual inventions to help him live and explore Hyrule. If you didn’t enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s mechanics, such as weapon degradation or sliding down a mountain in the rain, its sequel should equip you with the means to go over them.
